Interesting quote. Wonder if they even bother to try and open backside for the weekday/friday crew or if they just leave it for the weekend crowds...
i didn't hear any talk of opening backside. after all, there isn't anything on that side of the mountain open, lifts included.
RB and I left at 1:30...everyone was funneled onto Wildcat and Collins most of the AM. Winds savage up top..some nice stuff, some pretty manky stuff to slog through. Not sure what went on later...awaiting the report.
If it looks better in the AM, I'll be up for a few hours.
My roommate and I bailed to Solitude today. It was real smooth skiing over there. Like Butter. Soli was definitely lacking on terrain, but it sounds like Alta was too. Damn those winds, it could have been an over the head free for all today.
Edit: Oh yeah, when did the road finally open???
