What skis are you selling?
Go to your local ski shop and get an old box off them. Wrap the skis in a bit of bubble wrap and get a quote for postage. Use Paypal for convenience.
Be patient. Irish people may have difficulties understanding your crazy Dutch accent. ;)
My Dynastar Inspireds.. They're collecting dust after 4 weeks of service since I got two pairs of skis from Movement.
And what about paypal, I've heard about it and some say getting money from your account into your own bankaccount can be a bitch..
Paypal is pretty easy and if the buyer already has an account so much the better. You will have to pay a small commission (typically 2-3%) but that can often be built into the asking price.
The continental system of exchanging bank account details doesn't work so well when transferring money from a UK bank to a foreign one. The banks want a charge (usually around €15) and you have to visit the branch in person and fill in a form. Unbelievable.
Although Ireland isn't technically the UK, I wouldn't be surpriised if they had a similar banking system. I could be wrong.
I'm pretty sure that there's some sort of banking law that makes it easy/cheap (free?) to transfer money between bank accounts in different countries as long as both countries are in the Euro Zone. Ireland is on the Euro.
But having said that, PayPal is the way to go. Don't bother transferring the money into your bank account, just buy more stuff on eBay.
