how to make a good realistic dummy?

ok, well the semester is almost over and rather than studying like i should be, my roomate and i are conjuring up ways to scare the crap out of the resident assistants when they check our rooms after we go.

our idea: place a chair in the middle of the room, knocked over, gallows style. above the chair we'll have a dummy hanging from a noose facing away from the door. we think we'll try to make a dummy out of clothes stuffed with paper, stuffed beanie for the head.

better ideas? how to make a dummy? should i just go study? shit

We used to get a pair of old ski bibs and a jacket and put the bibs on over the jacket and stuff the whole thing with newspaper. We used a soccerball for a head and put it in the hood and taped it in. It looked pretty real, we would throw it out of trees in front of cars and scare the crap out of people!

in the absence of a crash test dummy, make sure you use those halloween fake hands. they look the shit at first glance. hardest part is disguising the head. dress him/her up in a turtleneck, a hat - preferably a beanie of some sort, and put some fake hair. Also, leave Dashboard Confessionals or something equally pathetic playing looped in the background. Don't forget the suicide note.

Oh, and use someone elses room unless your RAs are really, really, really fucking cool.

Definitely, if you have some anal retentive no humour fool for an RA, you could get in some serious shit.

A friend actually scared the shit out of his mom by putting his climbing harness on beneath his clothes, made a noose and put it around his neck, threw it over a rafter. The loose end wrapped back down the rope and went under his collar and attached to his harness so that it looked like he had hung himself. Apparently his mom freaked twice, the first tiem she saw him and then again when he started laughing and said 'just kidding'. He did not repeat the joke.
