Where are my Bro's?
Maybe you should use email for personal matters?

I think Splat detailed ship dates in the other thread. And he responds to PM frequently.
I'm always open to address these matters here on the forum, truth, because there are a lot of other maggots asking the same question. As you know, the first run of softs had topsheets out of line. We salvaged ten pair out of that run that have shipped, with a few more pair landing in CO today.
We then pressed stiffs and the sidewalls blew out because the cuts on the core side of the UHMW were wobbly. There were reasons given, none of which I bought into. So of the batch of stiffs, only one pair was salvaged.
The sidewall blowout is far more visible, as the brown sidewall has patches of epoxy in it.
There have been a series of fuckups that have occurred. None of this has made me a nice person to be around in the shop, but we're working through them. As a first time endeavor, lessons are being learned and a standard of quality must be met before they can go out. The Bros start getting pressed again tomorrow and I believe this time it will be right and most all of you can expect skis by Christmas.
Thanks for giving me an opportunity to update all the faithful. As always, we are bustin nuts to get you all your skis. Hits like like these past two screwups really hurt a small company with it's ass on the line to make something like this happen.
I for one am patient. Even if there were snow here, I'd rather let PMGear sort out the problems and deliver a quality product than rush them into a premature equipulation.
Set goals, pace yourself and focus on the quality. In the meatime, I'll harass you on the phone about doll parts, vacuum cleaners and whether the Cult Of Poisonality has ruined Amerika.
What you are looking at here is a great example of how a business that provides goods and services should respond to consumer inquiries. :fmicon:Quote:

I have full confidence in PM Gearand Splat that the pair of skis I bought will bring me years of joy. I can wait as long as it takes.
Just be glad you don't have to meet nonsensical specification and regulatory standards, ugh!! Good luck dialing it in man. Positive vibes for no more unpleasant "surprises" in the Broduction process.
It's support like this that makes making Bros a labor of love.
Broduction -I like that.
edit: My next monthly column at powdermag, up next week, will memorialize the Brocess from brainfart to current status, with a never-mentioned scare of failure exposed that has been heretofore unmentioned.

Dear PM Gear;
My question has to do with the double ski bag from last year. It is bomber and way roomy, but there are like twenty clips inside that I have no idea what they are supposed to clip to. Was there an owner's manual that I threw out?
Sincerely,
A. Bagman
Those held in the Chinese immigrants that slipped out of the FedEx truck down the block from your house, ice.
Those are for securing your skis and poles in transit. We are doing our part to support the SkiLand Security Act.
Just wanted to say thanks for all the continued support of PM Gear and bro models, we certainly appreciate it. It's just killing us all inside that we're behind schedule, although we should have anticipated some Broduction issues, there's definitely a learning curve on that, but we view it as a positive too in some ways.
we really want you guys to be out there killing it on the BROs asap, but of course only with the best possible product, for the best damn group of maggots ever:)
Splat's been working his arse off making this happen for everyone, and there's not enough good things that can be said about his personal dedication to this project.
Keep up the hard work, splat, etc. All will be right with the world when Maggots are out ripping on the Bros across mountains everywhere.
Now, about those 183's that I'm just sure you guys are going to get around to producing...
Even though, I don't have the cash to buy a pair this year, i have been with you guys the whole way watching the process on the board. I'm stoked that you guys are doing this and will hopefully be able to scrounge the cash together to buy a pair next year. You guys rule...
PS: We need to make some cool Bromodel stickers. Maybe someone can design some cool ones...
We are soooo totally all about that. Just been too busy to get to it. Contributions on graphics graciously accepted.Quote:

A possible shorter version of the Bro next year?
Another thanks to all the bro faithful and another apology for the unforeseen delays.
And huge props to splat for dealing with the stress and other peoples' screw-ups of the last few months. I woulda cracked by now. But splat keeps on keeping on with humor and a relentlessly positive outlook. He is driven by one thing right now--to make sure maggots get their skis asap and that those skis have a level of finish and quality worthy of the PM Gear name.
If we sell another 75 pair, we'll likely do that and we have a major surprise up our sleeves that could become reality. Help us sell skis, we'll do what we can to make them more available to a wider range of weights, heights, and length preference. We're being totally honest with people calling us and telling them we're backordered until Xmas. That has cost us a few orders, but we have to be straight with everyone.Quote:
