175 Shuksan vs 184 10ex
done a bunch of research using the search function and I've been on the 177 Rex alpine but I'm looking for some feedback on the shuksan. I hear its pretty stiff for a K2 and is a great AT ski. I'm looking for a tele ski that will be used for some overnight BC tours and hiking for spring corn and possibly some inbounds skiing at the resort. I'm worried that the Shuksans will be way too little for my 5'10" 235 pound frame, but the 10 exs will be too long for my sorely lacking tele skills. My normal tele ski is a 177 g3 with targas, its been a great learning setup but its begining to show its limitations when the snow falls or conditions are less then perfect. My gut tells me that the 10exs will be more versitile but the shuksans would be a better fit at touring and hiking since they're going to be lighter.
edit
Just checked the stats the shuksan comes in at 908g/100cm and the TMX at 921g/100 cm so I guess the weight difference isn't as big as I thought it was unless the old 10ex is heavier then the new Telemark only TMX

That same weight/length comparison can also be applied to people ;)

I've got 185 shuksans mounted with Freerides
Not a tele review but here goes.
I'm just under 80 kgs and 180cms tall.
So I think that's about 6 feet 175 lbs. I forget now.
Only had them out a couple times so far. 2 days backcountry powder and 1 day manmade resort snow.
They did pretty good in all the conditions. Powder they did really well. 10-20 fresh and they tracked it real nice. Couldn't really let them go as the terrain was limited but I laid down some nice turns.
Manmade snow they did pretty good.
But they are super light. I really like them so far.

LA,
I got the Shuksans as a 181 AT setup, I'm of same height but 60lb lighter.
Besides what Toque said the flex is medium and at your weight you would definitely overpower an 175, therefore I would not recommend it for you in that length.
However K2 makes a tele version which is basically the same construction but around 3-4 mm wider, almost same topsheet (can't remember the name, sorry, search on K2's web site). That one might fit your bill better.
Edit: It's the K2 Work Stinx, shaped 122-89-112, available in 174,181,188.
Hope that helps.
