Gay Area Magnions? Where to get my soon-to-arrive babies mounted? I'm not risking any-motherfucker or REI unless people have had good experiences.... Just p14s on normal skis but I can't afford in time or money a fuckup...
Thanks

Yeah. Figures

Don't go to REI! They forgot to screw in the binders on my skis and my buddies. They suck.
Mountain West is a good shop for mounting and repairs.

Lombardi might be OK too.
i will ignore the softball on this (living in the area, even i am a little tired of the "gay" jokes...)
do yourself a favor and wait until you get up to Tahoe and have them mounted. seriously...Granite Chief, Porters, the repair shop at Alpine (all these North Lake), even Daves, etc...all will do a better, more professional job than anywhere in SF...
If I +had+ to do it in SF, would go to Lombardis...but only after i asked to speak with the ski goods manager, and ascertained that the kiddies in the back knew what they were doing, were trained,a dn that they would back-up their work (which they should, overall Lombardis has good CS)....just my .02....
i forget the exact name, but something like Swiss Ski Sport in San Rafael (Marin) isn't that bad. they are pretty high end shop with some race stuff. a few years ago, i was there on my lunch hour and bumped into Johnny Mosely getting a bunch of skis mounted. so... i guess that can't be all bad.
A good place for mounting? Definitely not fucking Ikea beds.
The power exchange?

Lombardis can definitely do it....they've mounted race-stock bindings for me...but that was in the off season.
However, unless you can cut a behind the back deal, you're looking at a $60 mount...OUCH!!!
