Gotamas or Helix?

Me: 43yo, 145#, 5'7"

I've been skiing the '07 176 Goats with Naxo's for the past few seasons and 183 Katanas on deep days. Looking for a new daily driver. I ski Whistler mostly and will take them to Jackson and the Bird this winter.

I've narrowed it down to a 176 Liberty Helix and a 178 Gotama. I've done lots of forum searching but still can't decide. I suspect the Goat is a better fit for me but I'm anxious to try something new. Any thoughts?

Rockered goats. Skied the Double Helix not the Helix. They were okay but need rocker. This was a few years ago.

SAme DIMS. One's lighter with a true twin and a more centered mount relative to the other. Otherwise I really doubt you'd find one much different than the other.

Pick the one with the topsheet you like best (so Helix).
