Great idea, but we need to get our shit TOGETHER. I've recieved the same email from at least three people in the last week, and each time my name is never at the same place on the list if it's even there at all......somebody needs to figure out a way to unify this effort, because it is a valid one.
-
The case to relaunch Freeze should be made on a financial basis. It's all about the ducets, and unless there is a plan to make more of them and spend less, re-launching Freeze is a pipe dream. (No pun intended, sadly. :tdo13: )

Umm... what happened, if someone doesn't mind saying? They just ran out of dough? Where do I sign my name?
-
The key would be to go to www.petitiononline.com and get it started there. I would do it, but I don't want to use someone else's words w/out their permission.

In all honesty, the players best positioned to produce a magazine that would serve our sport (and, likey coverage of snowboard, kayak, surfing and maybe MTB as well,) is you guessed it, our very own hosts, TGR and MSP.
The brand names are established and credible. They're already financing trips which generate lots of photo content as well as video. They already have relationships with plenty of companies which "sponser" the videos, which would be the initial potential advertisers.
Not that it would be easy, mind you. It'd be risky. It would require expansion of the business: both from a capitol and man-power front.
I'm also not sure that even if you sold a sub to every person who bought a TGR or MSP video that you would have a profitable magazine.
But, done right, it would not only be profitable in it's own right, but also help enrich the brand and drive video and merchandise sales.
IMHO.
