It seems that KQ took the high road with her culinary posting, so I figured I would take the low. With that said, I watching CBS Sunday Morning in my PJ's and they had a short expose on the "Fat Darrell" - a sandwich that includes mozzarella sticks, French fries, chicken fingers, and marinara sauce.
I was wondering if anyone on the board went to Rutgers and might have eaten one of these suckers. Was thinking of taking a Saturday afternoon roadtrip to sample the "Fat Darrell."
at the sub shop across from this bar i used to go to a while back i had something called the 'fat dad' which is something like a cheesesteak with bacon, fries, and mozzarella sticks, with a little marinara. good stuff. 'fat mom' subbed chicken fingers for the cheesesteak.Quote:

The Bar-3-BBQ in Bozeman has a 'Gut Buster' samwich that has BBQ pulled pork, cheese grits, french fries and hot sauce on it. I never had one but Mikey sure loved them.
I did write the cheese grit recipe though and i can assure you it is probably worse for you than mozzarella sticks.
Mmmmm, grease trucks... While I wasn't a student, I did frequent the square many times. I'm racking my brain trying to remember the name of the three burger sandwich on the long italian roll. Good lord that was debauchery..Quote:

Not to keep bumping this thread to the top, but the greatest late night drunken meal I have ever eaten was the Garbage Plate from Nik Tahou's.
The best late night I've ever enjoyed was Five Faces in Chicago.
the gyro sandwich and cheese fries was one of a kind.
The Cuban at Charlie Dogs in Breck is a great for mitigating a buzz.
Yeah central jersey stoke. I much prefered fat bitches though I forget the ingrediants. You know what is great, as soon as I saw the topic for the thread I knew exactly what was being talked about. Maybe I shoudl start up some trucks in colorado... stoner food. ahaha
In my time at Rutgers it was Greasy Tony's. A pretty damn tasty but very unhealthy place at 2 am.
Downtown Tahou's? Ahhh... the memory's. Where else can you watch 2 fights in an hour, and have the cook ash in your food? And smile the whole time.Quote:
