Entry level camcorder ..best value?

Hey guys I've been looking around at camcorders under ~$300. I have a lot of skill with video editing software but not much experience w/ cams. This season I'm looking to shoot a ski movie for fun and I'm looking for input... Thanks.

I'm mostly just looking for the best bang for the buck. Its not like i plan on shooting top to bottoms from a heli haha

Go Pro? $300 really limits you in terms of...everything. But if you plan to shoot skiing your best bet seems to be the go pro. Trading off video quality for video of quality skiing will get you MUCH further for $300.
