Okay, I'm prolly gonna get flogged for giving a real answer, but the red dot next to your name means you have selected "Invisible Mode" in the User CP - Options.

It's the first option: "Invisible mode allows you to browse the forums without appearing in the 'Currently Active Users' lists. "

PLEASE NOTE: Selecting "Invisible Mode" does NOT make you invisible in real life.
