itunes alternative that works with ipod and Zune?

I hate itunes. I have a 60gb video ipod, and Mrs. C. has an older Zune.

Anyone have any recommendations for an MP3 manager that (a) works with both ipod and Zune, (b) will rip tracks from CDs to MP3, and (c) allows for drag-n-drop style file management? Freeware is a plus.

I used to use Winamp for this, years ago. Still a good choice?

I've been using Winamp for a while. Not sure if it works w/ a Zune, though.

I haven't done anything with my ipod yet.

Some internet searching suggests that I have to use the stock Apple software on the ipod if I want the car stereo to be able to control the ipod through the head unit. Makes sense, but I still hate itunes.

My brother uses Songbird, it seems legit. Not sure if it meets (b), but my iPod works on it and he has an older Zune I believe. And it's free.
