San O sharks

There have been numerous shark sightings at San Onofre of White sharks but it's still a little different to get video footage. Or perhaps this is just a well edited video to help cut down on the crowds at Old Mans. Still, it'll be hard to keep these images from my mind the next time I paddle out at Trestles.

White Sharks at San Onofre

I've still never seen a shark while surfing but frequently see them while flying along the SoCal coast. I've seen what I guessed was a 10-15 foot shark off the Coronado Islands south of San Diego. It had the rough shape of a White shark but could have been something else. There are tons of sharks off the La Jolla reefs that are easy to find while flying at 150 feet but they are usually less than 8 feet in length.

Chuck is about 4x the size of that whitey. The shark was wise to only lurk.
