Facking Windows XP...need help comp literate folks!

Cause I have pics of Powho dropping in on the Bird Cirque and want to post them...

Running XP home. Log onto my desktop and can't bring up any internet page. Get an error message every page. Log off of that desktop and get on the guest account and can bring up the web on IE.

But have some stupid software conflict that won't allow me to use the photo editing program to downsize photos on the guest desktop so I can't post photos from the Bird today.

Any ideas on what proprietary Windows Snafu is happening on this?

Also, whilst I'm at it...downloaded an iTunes "upgrade" the other day. Now when I click on the iTunes shortcut it tries to continue installing the program and then just fizzles out, pooping up a window that says "a newer version of iTunes has been detected on the comp". So thought I'd just uninstall the program, reload it and be fine. But, iTunes doesn't show up on the uninstall list.

And I'm getin no studying done in lieu of all this. Just drinking wine and becoming frustrated with this hunk of crap.

why dont you just down size it on under your normal account and post it when you are logged in as guest?

or am I missing something?

Try a restart, if that fails, then do a system restore from before your last software updates. PM me if you want more details. I have to keep 4 CPUs running XP, going. So I've learned a few tricks. (not that I wanted to, but had to.) :cussing:

You need to give us the error messages the PC gives you.

Could you just upload the pics to Biglines.com? I think that site will automagically downsize the images if they are silly big.

As for a brower blowups, install FireFox.

Got it going after some screwing around...yeah, I've about had it with IE.

You COULD install FireFox, but I'm told by a very reliable source that if you do, Jesus himself will come down from heaven and kick you square in the nuts. Open source software is written by terrorists, communists, nazis, liberals, atheists, and europeans. Somethimes all 6 together! You do want to support any of those people do you?

I'm pretty sure Bush is working on a constitutional amendment outlawing open source software, and frankly, in my opinion, it can't come soon enough.
