FS: Orvis CFO III Reel
Cross post from gear swap...
Really nice reel for sale, I just don't need it. It's an Orvis CFO III, one of their top of the line reels a few years ago. Used like 10 times, no damage, everything is flawless. Comes with the reel and orvis backing, fly line, and leader all wound and attached already, ready to use, even think it has a bit of 4x tippet
These seem to go for like $220 new, so offer up, obviously I'm not looking for that much

<edit> actually for a inexpensive reel you might want to consider albright. The topwater is $39, and they have a barstock for $130. Havent used the topwater, but it has a better warranty. Have used the sierra and it is great for a 3-5 weight trout rod.
You want a inexpensive reel, I would go with either okuma sierra for about $35 (http://www.troutlet.com/Okuma-Sierra...eels-P205.aspx) if you are just fishing for trout under 20 inches, or a
colton reel for about $150 which have drags that will handle the largest ocean gamefish (including mako shark).
Here is info on the trout sized reel
The CRGII is machine cut from aerospace grade 6061-T6 Bar stock Aluminum. The drag surface is Teflon impregnated cork disk that operates off of two stainless steel ball bearings while utilizing a one-way stainless clutch bearing to engage the drag. The oversized clutch bearing is the same that is used on most top end spinning reels today resulting in virtually zero back play before drag engagement (Otherwise know as “Super Stopper”). The CRGII requires no tools to convert from left to right hand retrieve. The quick-change spool also requires no tools and features a captive release nut to prevent losing it in the water. All construction of the CRGII series is done with machined aluminum or stainless steel. The handle on all CRGII reels is made from machined Delrin. Every reel in this series is built for use in fresh and saltwater. As always the CRGII also carries the Colton lifetime warranty.
