Selway 6/5-6/6
Hit up the Selway river this past weekend at high flows on a cancelled permit. The Paradise guage was reading 8.3 ft and the Lowell guage was reading about 33,000 cfs when we launched. We did the trip in two days but could have easily done it in one if desired. Big holes and big waves make this river increadibly fun. I didn't take any action shots since things were moving quickly. An experienced group of good boaters were enough to ease any butterflies I had.
The put-in guage at Paradise.

Weather turned from dumping rain to this overnight. Not a bad launch...

An amazing trip with great people. Other than imploding my skirt in double drop and paddling a swamped boat into the eddy there was no carnage. The only thing I would have changed was my boat, for something a little more sporty.
And last but not least, a couple shots of Selway Falls.

Hells yeah! My buddy and his party cancelled put on 5/31 - 6/4. They were quite gripped about the sudden rise that night (over a foot) and did the Main Salmon instead.
