This forecast is for Brian Head and yeah its only Brian Head and not Alta but they are expecting up to 39 inches by Sat which also is their opening day :p
If no storms are lined up for the SLC area I will be making the Southern trek

Sky Condition:
Continued steady precipitation all day. A rain/snow mix for the base for part of the morning with the snow for the rest of the slopes from just above the base up. Transition to all snow for the base by midday. Some heavy pockets of snowfall (rain/snow for the base early) likely through most of the day. Gusty at times especially this morning..
Precipitation:
80% chance of snowfall today. 5-10" of wet snow for the base with rain/snow mix for part of the morning till about midday then turning to all snow. Moderate to heavy snowfall at times...11-16" for the slopes.
Wind:
SSE 25-35mph, gusts to 40-45 at times for mainly the AM, less gusty in the PM.

Still considerable cloudiness. Snow will be more showery and scattered in nature but should last through the most of the day but lighter in the afternoon. Colder air settles in for a while. Not as windy either with shifting breezes out of the SW.

Less accumulations expected but still a decent 70% chance of additional snowfall. 4-8" of snowfall possible mainly early in the day. Snow showers tapering off late overnight
Wind:
Not as strong. SW 15-20 mainly early and gradually shifting to the W-NW later in the day.

Cloudiness mainly early in the day will continue to break to some sunshine through the day. A few spot snow flurries possible early in the day but will continue to diminish by midday.

20% chance of isolated rain showers early in the day. Maybe a trace to an inch of additional accumulation early in the morning.
Wind:
NW 5-10mph then shifting to the NE at 10-15mph.

50% of scattered snow showers for most of the mountain. A possible rain/snow mix for the base. 2-4" of snowfall possible for most of the slopes--lower amounts at the base with the possible wet mix.
Wind:
S 10- 15mph, increasing later in the day 15-20mph.

I really dont know however
I dont want to predict more for fear of a going to the dark side
It's unfortunate that Brianhead is getting so much snow. Anymore than 12-18 inches and it's not steep enough to go.
