Anyone got pics?
If it's out, Google doesn't know about it. In fact, a search for "cycling team" on the Discovery Channel website returns nothing. Huh. You'd think they'd be amped about it. Maybe the contract with USPS is valid for a bit longer?

Maybe they don't yet have a design? We should help them out.
I envision a jersey with a giant whelk on a kick-ass bike pedaling effortlessly up the Lape d'Huez while going bukkake on Jan Ullrich's face.
I don't think so, Tom Danieslon is still riding aroung Durango in his Fassa kit. I'll be curious to see the new set ups, I think the USPS sponsorship goes through the end of the year.
Always raising the bar Viva, always raising the bar.
There was a press conference shown on the "lance Chronicles" on OLN during the tour, during which they announced the discovery channel sponsorship and showed a jersey, but I don't know if it is the finalized jersey. It was white with grey stripes coming from the shoulder down to a point about halfway down the chest, with a huge discovery channel logo. The USPS jersey is much better looking, so hopefully the jersey I saw was merely a rough draft.
that was just a generic jersey blank with the logo on it for show purposes only.... i'm positive the new jersey will look nothing like that.Quote:

Well, they better televise the Giro d'Italia, le Tour de France, and la Vuelta de Espana - Discovery has a bigger presence than the Outdoor Life Network, who blew the daily coverage on the Vuelta. OLN must be counting on all those hunters, fisherman, and rednecks (who cares about Bull Riding - it's like watching dirt track Outlaw racing - hohum & yawn).
I watched the Giro and the Tour with great anticipation, but those numbnutty halfwits at OLN dropped the ball on the Vuelta. What a pisser - it was exciting, nip-and-tuck for three weeks. But all we care about in the U.S. is Lance's every waking moment. How boring, when OLN should have covered other American racers - it seems extremely myopic. The sport of bike racing (road) has a lot of young talent coming down the pike. We're so focused on one American guy, we don't see the big picture. Cunego, Boonen, Rebellin, Basso, Valverde, etc.
But the great news about Discovery is they signed Yaroslav Popyvich, rather than an aging Armstrong.
I like the built in Livestrong trim on the sleeves
It's the only way they know which way is front.Quote:
