South Lake Tahoe weekend whirlwind visit!

Here's the situation. Those crappy TR's that lph and Arty and everyone else have been posting have gone to my head. I'm gonna be in CA from the 11th to the 18th. My sis' friend just bought a house on Pioneer Trail and we're thinking of heading up to visit on the 13-14th. I'm gonna travel light but I think I can fit my basic ski essentials (clothes and boots) in my backpack. Does anyone have any skis/skins/poles I might be able to borrow/rent/steal for the weekend? Might hit KW, but I'd prefer to go bc since I'm poor (conditions depending of course).

I gots tele boots and alpine boots (304mm) and could bring either pair.

(and yes, you might meet my sister)

I'm unfortunately down to only one pair of bindings at present. Otherwise you'd be more than welcome to use one of my pairs of skis.

Of course, unless UPS/Indigo equipment got their shit in line, I might not be skiing this weekend. The replacement hinge plates that they promised me haven't arrived yet and the toebars are close enough to failure that I'm not willing to risk them in the bc.

Hop - I've got a set-up with freerides and skins that you might be able to use. I think they're on XL freerides. I don't know if that accomodates 304mm boots. PM me.

Supposed to lightly snow today and get heavier snow tonight through tomorrow. It doesn't sound like there will be more than a foot, though. Depending on your source, it will lighty snow on Friday, clearing up on Saturday and then more light snow on Sunday OR clear up on Friday, moderately snow on Saturday and then clear up again on Sunday.

Either way, Saturday at Kwood should be nice!

I'm bringing two pairs of tele skis (I'm doing my part to spread the UTB love). Walter, I might take you up on that shovel/probe though! Got any poles around the 120cm range?

So... who's planning on being up at Kirkwood? There's a 75% chance I'll be there Saturday for a few runs before the Boot God has his way with me at the shop in South Lake. Sunday's out...
