Fix for a missing "tail cap" on Fischer Big Stix 84

Can't get a picture to turn out very well, so I'll try to describe.

The tail end of the Fischer Big Stix has a rubber cap. One of them has fallen off, exposing the guts of the ski. Tried sealing it with epoxy, but that fell off within my first 5 runs. So, not a viable fix. Don't need to "build-up" the end of it to match the other ski, really just looking to seal it off so it doesn't delam. Any suggestions for something that would be long lasting? Don't want a band-aid fix.

Don't worry about it. My BS 84s have seen over 50 days and one of them is missing the rubber cap on the end. No delamming has happened.

JB Weld works AWESOME.
I've got 18" of 1 edge made w/ it.

I've used Seal-All, some flexible urethane type thing on some nasty topsheet gouges on an old pair of skis with good success.

Maybe melt some P-tex in it?

JB Weld? You're working with a tech JONG here. What is it? If I go into a shop and suggest it will they know what it is, how to use it for this?

Can you see the "guts" of the ski? When I look at mine, it looks like snow/water will easily get in there...

Where can I get seal-all? Or, would you recommend the P-tex over that?

Auto parts store, they'll know, it's 2 part epoxy. Room temp, ski and epoxy. Equal amounts, stir w/ popsicle stick. It'll be gray and gooey, Latex gloves are recommended. Smear it on w/ stick, make sure it goes into any gaps. Use duct tape to keep it from oozing to much. But dont squeeze it out of wound. When its hard :eek: you can grind it down. Yeah like angle grinder, or sander.
It really works, try it.

Go to Home Depot on a nice little saturday, go to the adhesive section, they have JB weld, Seal All, everything you can imagine. Something there will work.
