Trying to not be too spammy here. I made global quiver, and I have no 'marketing budget'. It's just a website that I think will help make surf travel better if enough surfers start to get behind it.
You can rent your extra boards, or post sale/buy-back prices. Could be good for demoing and trying boards too.

Not a bad idea. Considering the airlines are becoming a hassle. Post it on Surfer mag's community board. Would work well if you could got some foreign locations involved.
Although, I have to admit, I like having my own boards with me when I travel.

That was my thought too. It is pricey. You can bring a board bag for less cost. Has potential though.
Hey, thanks for the replies. I agree that 40 bucks a day is a lot (unless you're a business traveler and you just get one day to surf -- then it's better than bringing your board). That's part of why I added the weekly fee. Progression Surf shop just hasn't gotten around to putting in weekly fees yet.

Finally, I also put in a 'sell/buy-back' feature which seems like the best option of them all if you're dealing with people overseas.
So, hopefully that answers some of your questions about how it works. I'll try and make that more clear on the site itself.

Any doutchebag knocking it doesn't realize it's in it's infancy stage, with like 10 users.

buy back is the way to go, when either going on a trip w/o your own board or offering your board to strangers for use. I found a local pawn shop that did that in Maui last time I was there and it worked out great. If you're the board owner, you're covered against a jong encounter or general accident. If you're the user, you're covered against ridiculous charges if the board is damaged (you know what you're paying for it if you do fuck it up) and if you really like it, the price is set and you can keep it. You also won't be doing illicit favors for the nancies in castro just to catch a few waves on your trip.
Rates should generally be around $50-$70 per week, depending on location. It cost me $60 for a week in HI.

I don't know who that is that was quoting other stuff I wrote. allyashantibrown? ImaniAbigailWilliams? not me. How weird. If I were trying to get away with registering other accounts to pump myself up, I would have chosen better names and tried to steer the conversation.
Anyway, thanks for the feedback. I totally agree. Buyback is the way to go. Surfers set their own buyback prices. Looks like so far they've been in the right range.
