No shit. After experiencing my first leash break in well overhead surf the other day, I am giving up on "comp" leashes for life. :eek:

Not that fun, esp. as my right calf cramped up right as my leash broke. "Sink or swim" never hit so close to home.

Been there done that. Now my leash is replaced annually and is the fattest one I can find. Nothing like a solid double overhead + wave sending you to the bottom and after the spin cycle and resulting disorientation, being thankful for finding the only way up was your leash.
