I haven't been out once this season, so "good" is relative.
was at stowe today, it was great. ducked onto chin clip to get 6-12" of powder for a few runs until ski patrol caught on. trees were covered pretty well where i went. it's about to be packed with tourists though so watch out.
skied killington today, solid 4 inches of new snow throughout the day. As usual most of the quality skiing was found in the trees since the whole mountain had been freshly scraped clean of all snow by the whords of gapers that arrive each weekend.
step one. go to your ski hill.
step two. go where nobody else goes.
step three. lap thigh deep.
step four. all day long.
step five. look like a douchebag and not mention that you skied said thigh deep in the notch.
dammit.
Ah..It is rainy now in my hometown.I want to go out!:(
It can snow at the poles at any time. It is not unusual to have snow falling on the higher mountain ranges at all times of the year. It could be baking hot on the plains, yet snowing heavily on a near by mountain top.It snowed a few days ago in the upper elevations of Vermont (USA). It's been snowing off and on in the upper elevations of some of the western states also.
