Brooks Range Field Organizer
Perhaps better suited for Tech Talk, but I think this will get more love here.
I had been looking for a light-weight, but efficient case to store my snow-study tools. Asked around and Enginerd (who recently filled-in my spot in a Level 2 course b/c I couldn't make it) noted that a lot of the instructors used the Brooks Range Field Organizer:

Arrived yesterday and I have to say I am very impressed. Extremely light-weight, but well thought out:
1. Holds a mechnical pencil, digi therm. and back-up analog term. on the outside.
2. Ultra bright yellow so easy to find in the snow if you set it down.
3. Inside, can easily fit the AAIRE blue book, a crystal card and a pouch for a compass/slope meter. If you use a folding mag glass, would fit in that as well.
4. When velcroed-down, you could pretty much fit it in the pocket of a softshell.
All in all - a good product and only $19 bucks.
