G-Love show and new cd reveiw

Fricking bueno. Saw G-love for the first time, been a big fan for years now, but somehow always seem to miss him when he is in town. He played with SLIGHTLY STUPID, which was kick-ass, kinda Sublime like. Saw the saturday show at the Fillmore in D-town. Very chill, good vibe. Unfortunately there is some kind of riff between him and their regular bassist, who was not there and the fill-in guy was sometimes WAY off.

The new CD "The Hustle" is very good, grabbed a copy from a friend after the show. If you are a G fan, it is great CD, if you are a Jack Johnson fan, it fits the bill there in that realm of tune-age. Lots of good jams, like "Fishing Song" "stone me" "back of the bus" "astronaut" and really good is "booty call", which was kick ass live too.
