naw, the entire chamonix valley is actually tilted.
If it is tilted.......then that is a funny looking peak in the basckround..........
either way that face is not very flat at all....
good find. i heart the steeps.
edit: ~60 degrees?
That pic makes my heart race and my bung hole pucker!!!! That is effing steep.
Maybe a hair tilted. It's still steep.
where are splat's pics of tom and phil from cham last year? some amazing ones in there.
If you fell you would slide a long way
I had a ski dream last night. That pic was me in said dream. :D
if you tilt your head the the left, so it looks level, and ignore the mtn., it's really kind of funny. . .
looks like a water skier or something or. . .
Yep... definately steep...Quote:

1080 - Didn't want to let it go down this way. But that's your wife... you were back in the lodge bitching about the traverse and you didn't want to hike.

must have been the tilt.
:D
It's good to be right
That slope is at the top of the Brevent, I believe, and is that steep.
I call bullshit. The powder swath shows that he's been in the fall line for 30 feet. If the slope were that steep, he wouldn't be in the fall line for that long. He wouldn't have his skis straight down the mountain unless it's a 300 vertical to flat straight-run. The snow looks a bit strange for powder on a 70 degree face. I know the Euros are sick, but still.Quote:
