crashpads are cheaper, $50-90 www.crash-pads.com . Skeletools shorts are about $100.
I've got a pair of crashpads that I've only used maybe half a dozen times. I'm a 32" waist, so if you want them, just PM me and we can work out a deal
Hockey pants/girdles are a good cheap alterative that can usually be found at play-it-again type places.
