Stress Fracture (First Metatarsal)

I hurt my foot back in October and started receiving treatment by November 1st. I've been taking celebrex, in a walking boot and staying away from ANY physical activity... yet 8 weeks later the foot is still swollen and the big toe cannot be bent.

I tried getting my foot into my ski boot last week and it felt two sizes to small due to the swelling. Anyone run into a similar issue and have any suggestions?

this happened to me a long time ago. "Broke" it on a 7 day hike and didn't get it xrayed for over a month by which time it had started healing. didn't wear a boot or anything.

i fractured the 4th and it was all healed up pain free no swelling in 6 weeks
