Best bet for late season skiing?

Hi guys, been a while. Are the regulars still around? Blurred / Max / the virgin from Alaska?

I'm getting married 27 March 2010 and would like to go skiing for the honeymoon.

If you had to book 3 weeks anywhere in the world starting 1 April 2010 where would you book?

Whilst not expecting a foot of fresh everyday I also want to make sure that there will be at least some good quality in bound skiing.

Both of us are fairly comfortable on most inbound runs at Whistler / Banff etc and are not looking for any backcountry reccomendations.

I'm not really sure about anywhere in the world, but in the US I would go with Wolf Creek

I can second Banff for late season goodness. You can probably even get good deals at the Banff Springs Hotel or the Chateau Lake Louise that time of year.

Last year between March 22 and April 4 Alta received 167.5".....I'd go AltaSnowbird.

For a honeymoon, make sure you stay somewhere NICE! April's a great time for a deal in a ski town.

Some years. Vail is fun in April. This year, I would book somewhere else, snow levels are below normal in the Vail area. End of the year could really be teh suck, jumping mud puddles if we're lucky in April (not tons of snow like the last couple years...)

Alta/bird is great for skiing, but there isn't shit to do there, for three weeks?

Whistler or Chamonix.

Valdez and Haines were great last season at that time of year.

^yup. April is still prime for skiing up here, doesnt normally slush up until may.
