So its getting colder and I'm trying to find a snowsuit for my 4 month old. And its damn near impossible. He's got a fuzzy type outfit but the second I take him out in the snow he's gonna be wet and then cold and then probably hate snow for the rest of his life and that just isn't allowed to happen. SO who's got a line on decent infant snow clothes?
don't go expensive - try Costco, KMart, etc....all the lil' booger is gonna do is lay in the snow and eat it. :D
For infants, not much. We were unable to find much in my sons size before he was 1. Since, I doubt that your 4 month old is walking yet, don't worry about the best winter gear, just keep him/her toasty warm, and keep active in the winter time for them to enjoy it. I got uber exciter and thought I would have a 7 month old skiing, it didn't happen, but now he's a little ripper at 3.

Supercow - your gear obsession is at near critical levels. He's a baby! You can wrap him in in glass fiber insulation and add a garbage bag for rain protection. He won't care.

First advice, don't put your kid in the snow at 4 months old. Second advice, just find a fleece outfit. They are readily available at Babies R Us, Baby Gap, etc. If the weather is severe enough, i.e. snowing hard, raining, bitter cold, don't take your newborn outside. It is one thing to throw them in the car to go someplace where you are going to be primarily indoors, but extended periods of time outside in those conditions are not good for babies.
I'm looking for an AT set-up for my unborn fetus\embryo whatever you want to call it(2nd trimester). Not quite sure what sex it's gonna be, prolly won't matter. Any suggestions?

My kids both love the snow... yes they will get cold, and when they do they will let you know about it. I highly doubt that will make them hate the snow.
But, to answer your question... we have found some cheap stuff on Ebay and overstock.com.
The key, rubber boots, a warm hat, and some good mittens... the rest is gravy.

We shopped around at 'lightly' used (pre-owned) children clothes & toy stores like, 'Kid to Kid' and found some comfy one peices, and fleece jackets. but luckly our two boys were both born in April, so they were at least 9 months old before they were introduced to snow.
My #1 boy put skis on at 23 mo. and skied two little slopes no lifts. He loved it!
Now at 3.5 he will be starting his 3rd season with a total of 5 lift days last year.
#2 is only 6 months old. We have warm fleece hand me down suit from #1 should fit him. We wont consider putting him any where near snow until he learns how to walk and that may not be until late Dec or Jan. Then skis the following year.
I dont suggest taking a four month old out to the snow

might I just clarify, I wasn't planning on dumping the kid in a snowbank I was just looking for SOMETHING/ANYTHING thats gonna shed freezing rain and all the other crap that falls from the sky here in Upstate NY
He's 4 months now and already starting to inch along the ground, so in 2 months who knows where he'll be developmentally. We have the added issue of my wifes profession being ice skating coach meaning he's got no choice but to be in cold type places for the next 5 months of his life. We've tried all the places like K-Mart wal-mart, kids-r-us etc. and gotten shut out EVERYWHERE. Like I said we've got some warm stuff but can't seem to find anything that's gonna keep the kid warm in the 1932 rink in Lake Placid where the room temp is a very temperate 54 degrees.

I would try some of the outdoor stores, like others have mentioned. Osh Kosh will have something, but it will be spendy. Shop online if you have to. We got a fleece one piece suit for one of our kids at target that we used once, because it kept the kid to hot. it shed precip pretty well to.
