More heli coil question

Dis is what I'm considering and would like to tap into some of the knowledge floating around here. So here it is, the dilema :

I got a pair of R:ex and a pair of Shanouks and only one pair of Freerides. I would love to put the binder on both skis. I was considering the heli coil on both skis with the option without a plate . Would this work ? The volkl I've drilled have a good metal plate inside but don't know about the shanouks. The R:ex are quite a bit softer inside. I'm a little concerned about the strenght of coils in the R:ex, should I be ?

Anyone know of a place in Kamloops where this could be done if the maggots approuve of this move.

The R:ex's are waiting for some dynafits but in the mean time I need to be able to use the Freerides on them. Shanouks would be a biatch on traverses.

it should work, but are you really going to tour on the big skis? If they are just for powder on hill or sled/cat/heli skiing just mount with the alpine bindings you love.

but yes the heli coil idea I think will work just fine.

Where in Kamloops? not sure, go where the local race team goes. They should be able to do it IF they have a freeride jig.

If you come to banff lots of places can do it town or Calgary too.

Those alpine days are done for a little bit. Shanouks are for hut and shorter tours like weekending at Rogers. Some days just beg for the fatties. Got a friend who put some dynafit on her Gotamas.

Thing with fat skis is that you don't have to go so fast to float and that for me is a good thing.

I might just do that if I don't find any place in town. Where would you say the best place to go would be ?
