Yo Tap - what happened to your ZPZ pics?
I'll be listening to some Zappa today!
Just out of curiosity's sake, what's everyone's favorite FZ album? I'd have to say Hot Rats. Mostly instrumental, phenominal band; the Gumbo Variations is probably my favorite FZ song as well.
One of my all time fave lyrics...
I'm a moron and this is my wife
She is frosting a cake with a paper knife
All that we got here is American made
It's a little bit cheesy, but nicely displayed
I was a DJ in high school (yes, in the 1970's) and played Bobby Brown at a dance and was suspended. Worth it.
More classic Zappa?
My balls feel like a pair of maracas,
My balls feel like a pair of maracas,
Oh god, I probably got the gono - ca - ca - coccus.
I remember when this place was zappa central.
That and the ski stoke got me hooked.
whatta genius.
And his B-day is coming up - Dec 21. Usually same day as solstice.
So many good albums.
Hard to pick just one.
Zombie Woof.
Two people I miss from the cultural landscape of my youth are him and Lennon. A lot.
I'd miss Dylan more if he was dead.
It's hard to believe how time flies so fast. I remember watching the newscast that he was dead clear as a bell. FZ was nothing short of genius.
Over Nite Sensation, BTW.
Every Halloween, when I was living on the Ice Coast, I used to see Frank Zappa in concert at either The Capitol Theatre in Passaic, or MSG (Felt Forum).
He is missed.
I'm sure that he is at "St. Alfonso's pancake breakfast" looking down at us and "abusing the sausage patty"
Roxy & Elsewhere
...and if you get the chance to see his son Dweezil, you should.
Got a 20 dollah bill....
Thing Fish
Ramit, ramit, ramit up your poop shoot ....... CORNHOLE !!!

Mr. Keane maintained an open-door policy at his record label. Anyone could walk in and get a hearing. Over the years he recorded the soul singer Brenda Holloway (“Every Little Bit Hurts”), the doo-wop group Little Caesar and the Romans (“Those Oldies But Goodies”) and surf-music groups like the Surfaris, the Centurions and the Lively Ones.
In 1963 Zappa, a walk-in, brought Mr. Keane a collection of doo-wop and surf tracks that he had written and recorded in a studio in Cucamonga, Calif. They were later released as the album “Cucamonga.”
Happy 70th, Frank.
R.I.P.
Shut up and play your guitar

Listening to music and the panty rap comes up.
That recording was competing with Chicago. He said they set the record.
Fuckkk. Uptown theatre with a clothesline that ended up full of panties. That show was off the hook awesome.
Ahhh. Good times. Of all the dead musicians I would most like to see a Zappa show again.
