Epiphone Dot - Semi hollow body - ebony in color
Purchased new 4 or 5 years ago, but hardly played, no blemishes
Go for about $400-450 new, they're going for about $300 so I'd like to get around that, but make me an offer.

Also have a small practice amp - Peavy Rage, 158 - $30 if you take it with the guitar otherwise, $50, but I'm not going to sell it until after I've sold the guitar.
It will probably be a week or so before I put the stuff on ebay... I want more money for a crack-like addiction that I have.

Maybe it's a silly question:
My ten year-old has just started taking lessons, but what he really wants is an electric geetar. I'm not ready to buy him a Stratocaster or a Les Paul, but is your Epiphone too much for a kid just starting out???

No, that's actually why I bought it. I'm a lot bigger than a ten year old I'd wager, but the guitar isn't all that big. It's pretty thin compared to a lot of the other hollow bodies. Cheaper and good alternative to more expensive stuff and it plays much nicer and easier than Squires and other stuff in the same price range, imho. I've sucessfully started and quit playing guitar 3 times now and this was the easiest to play...
I'd suggest taking your son somewhere and let him try out a bunch and see what fits the best. If he likes something like this, let me know.

Thanks Crash.
My son has his lesson tomorrow; I'll ask his teacher to have him try-on some similar guitars.
