My new bike...

Since I didn't find the thread "Post a picture of your ride" I just HAD to start a new thread...

I know, I know, everyone is thinking of snow but I've just made a killer deal, and there's a few autumn trail rides still to be done...:D

I swapped my hard tail with this six inch travel, one-point-five beauty ...and only paid few hundred euros more (euros~pretty equal to dollars these days)

Mint condition. Nice parts, only maybe new pedals needed, and shock (just maybe, more progressive shock like 5th Element or Romic will be nice some day, but I dunno really)...Race Face Diabolus stem and bar, Race Face Prodigy dh cranks, Mrp chain guide, Sherman breakout 6", Hayes 8" brakes, Michelin tubeless, Fox Vanilla R shock, Mavic D-max wheels etc...

First impression is great. Light(ish) for 6" travel bike, Sherman feels soo smooth, and the tubeless tyres seem to roll very well...

Now you've got a bike with big suspension, you'll never want to go back. ;)

Other than the weight, I think they make going up or downhill easier.

I bought a Iron Horse SGS Pro, about a week a go. I love it a lot already. Still dailing in the shocks and learning the feel of it. :D

I can imagine that. First I was even thinking about something in the 7-8" travel range...but the overall package of this Rocky Mountain made me change that - I realised that everything I throw is (more than) possible with 6" travel, and the bike is still somehow trailworthy. (Dirt jump)hard tail was fun, and teached me alot techy stuff but I soon noticed that the most riding I do is still heavy trail riding/light freeride, so I needed more all-aroundish bike.

Iron Horse SGS was actually one of the bikes I considered too...congrats, that should be real nice ride! Have fun there!

PS. And let the snow still fall soon - it's good to get into the ski season knowing there's still some life waiting (in the form of a new bike) in the springtime...:D

Congrats on the bike. As much as I want to be on the skis, you're right, some of the best rides are fall rides.
