Well, sorta... The veep debate is at Case, where I go to school. It's been a circus around here. The campus looks like downtown Beirut. (Except, oddly, where the cameras are.... Huh.)
Anderson Cooper 360 was broadcasting from campus, and I went and tried to get on. I might have. Anyone notice? There were no chicken suits allowed.
Other circus events... There was a big symposium today to showcase some of the research that we're doing. It was at the same hotel where the Edwards staff is staying. I, quite literally, ran in to Edwards' chief of staff there, to the severe dissapointment of the MIB casing the area. Oops. Relax, guys... I'm on your side.
The 6-lane conduit from downtown to the suburban university area was blocked for 20 minutes while a series of busses with BUSH-CHENEY 2004 occupied the hotel approach. At 5:00. Nice timing, guys.
It's pretty fun to be at the school where all the spotlights are for a few days... but I'll be glad when they're gone. Anyone have any suggestions for me to get in to some trouble?
