hmmmmmm hmmmmmmmmm...
when your ipod is connected to your puter  and syncs up with itunes, delete/upload  whatever songs you want from the playlist. under file click on  'update songs on ipod.'
I knew it was a stupid question when I asked it, but I never had an iPod before, so thanks for the guidance and the rolleyes.
 i didn't mean to be offensive in any way :( , just trying to liven up my posts.
you fucking asshole!!!
;)
Actually, iceman, it's not so easy to do with a first generation 5g iPod. Is it a new mini, or is it one of the early iPods?
The early iPods have only one "home" computer and can't be reconfigured to sync into another computer (the new ones have up to 3 homes, I believe). There are ways to hack around it and for that info try iPod lounge but I don't know how easy it is. Keep me posted, I'm curious.
on the bottom right corner of itunes, there's a little ipod icon. click on that, and there will be a box to check named "manually update songs". then you can check the box next to songs you want on the ipod and which you don't.
shit drove me crazy for two weeks.
Thanks, I'll post back after I try it, but it won't be for a while, going out of town tomorrow AM.
