My buddy ad colleague Fedro will be in Seattle for two weeks in late october. He's an avid climber, skier and biker (and the order is exact), and I am sure he won't be ALWAYS smashed by work during his stay..... :D
any suggestion? Anything you seattle mags would like to receive from old and sleepy italy? :rolleyes:
late october = ice climbing season...
Seahawks game and some boozin in the Pioneer Square district.
If there's snow, go skiing. If there's no snow, go alpine climbing. If there's no snow and raining, go get drunk.
-Too early for skiing, unless you want to hike for it.
-Biking will be a little muddy, but Victor Falls and Tiger Mt. would be an option.
- You could do tour biking through the San Juan Islands. The ride on the ferries can be a little long, but the view is great, and the islands are fantastic.
- Seahawks game would be fun if you can get some tickets... they are a hot item right now. Or a UW football game, but they suck at the moment.
- Pioneer Square is fun. Lots of bars, music, food, and drunken college kids.
- You could always attend Rusty's BBQ/Tuning party on the 23rd of OCT!
- Take the ferry over to Pt. Townsend (where they filmed Officer and a Gentleman). Cool town, places to bike, sights to see.
- Or you could just stick around the Seattle... tons of places to eat, drink, and see.
i'll take the dude skiing! we could be skiing powder by then. as long as the weather is good. tell him i'll guide if he brings topographic maps of the monte rosa area.
