Tribute to GT40

When your car breaks down in the middle of nowhere between Evanston Wy. and Ogden Ut., what do you do? Get out your cell phone and call somebody. Then you find out that you have no signal on the phone. Start walking. A few miles later you come to a weigh station/ port of entry and make a few calls. You find out that to tow your car anywhere it will cost a large fraction of your cars worth.

Thats when I made the call to GT40 for any ideas (the man knows alot about everything). Before I can barely explain the situation, he is on his way to help. We do everything we can to get the car back home under its own power but after two short 10 mile trips we give up and he tows me the rest of the way.

I don't know many people who would give up 8 hours of thier day to help somebody they have known less than a year. I think he would have driven any distance to help if I had asked him to. Anybody who has met him will attest to his genuine kindness. Thanks GT40.

Very true, a great guy he is. He's got a bank of karma built up the size of fort knox. ;)

Cheers to GT40. This year I showed up in SLC in the middle of a snowstorm at around midnight.. not knowing any of you (or so i thought.. but thats another story) that would be at the mini and just having spoken to buzz once via cell a few short hours before. Somehow I find my way to an open door and a warm floor at casa de GT40. He and his family opened their doors to a lot of people, and one they didnt know at all. Thanks again, and I hope to see you all at snowbasin this year!

This just about sums up my start of the mini :). Thx to GT (and meats, frozenwater, buzz and all those other maggots)..

Thanks guys for the kind words. I'm just trying to give back, some of the good stuff that's happen to me in my life.

While I was towing flyk down the canyon, I forgot he was there. We're flying around the cornors and I'm just talking to his friends. But flyk is 7 feet in back of this big old white van. He can't see what's coming and he's just trying to keep the tow rope tight. He said it was quite a ride.;)

I'm lovin mountain biking right now, and it's snowing in the mountains. Life is good. :D

I would like to thank GT too, for many reasons. He always has an open ear and I feel comfortable confiding in him some of my past that has hurt me in many ways. He never seems to pass judgement, at least not in front of me and is open to conversations most people shy away from.

Thank you GT, for being the person you are and continue to be. You have helped me grow and mature in many ways and I will always remember that.

I'm down with that,it's all about the Karmic Credit.I've hung out with J a few times,It'll be cool to ski with the source.
