Bad luck this week...

As you guys may or may not know, my boat has been in and out of the shop enough times within the last two years for our mechanic to make a living just off of my family. It sucks.

My boat broke down and could not go any faster than idle. This was about July 20 or August 1, somewhere in there. Well last Friday, after I got bitched at by my mom who was on the phone with my Calculus teacher--one of the meanest ladies I have ever met--I walked outside and clicked my heels at what I saw: MY BOAT!!! Needless to say, I was out skiing the next day--Saturday. We took another run Monday I think it was. Friiiiday... the fucker broke. AGAIN. 7 days and 3 runs of being in commission. My dad says he doesn't know when or if we'll ever see it again.

And keeping with the theme of false hopes: I was looking over my emails from Sillymon about my skis from last October, and I discovered something very interesting and startling: the estimated ship date was September 13, 2 DAYS BEFORE IVAN HIT! Meaning NO SHIPMENTS RECEIVED! Meaning that my skis might be lost in Arkansas. I'm just hoping and praying that they didn't ship then because if they did, I am (once again) fucked out of a pair of boards. Gonna call those people tomorrow and see what's up.

This just all hit me today. Thought it might be ok to share...

But at least the weather is very nice :D ! (even though I have no means of skimming the waters in it :mad: )
