I just picked up a pair of Solly S900 Equipe 10-20 DIN binders for a smoking deal. My question is...though I believe that they're 10-20 DIN, the toepiece display is only numbered 14,16,18,and 20. I'll probably bot be running them below 14, but in case, how do you tell what you're at when you're below 14?!

Have a shop set them by testing them if you a concerned about it.
That doesn't sound right. Most of the Sallie Greens run from 14-20, not 10-20.
If the scale at the bottom most is 14, then it's 14. Is it the older 900's silver and red? I can't say I've seen a set of greens that went to 20 that the lowest setting was below 14. There were older sets that went from 12 -18, but that was a good 8 to 10 yrs ago.
As mentioned you could have them tested, if they give you a hard time about it being a green spring there is usually a disclaimer voiding liability for setting above recommended settings.
ok, maybe it is a 14-20. I guess I was just going by what the guy I bought them from said. I'll ask him why he thinks they go down to 10. Otherwise, I'll be working at a shop this winter, I'll get the word then.
Oh, and when I turn the DIN adjustment screw on the toepiece, the yellow indicator thingy goes down to the 14 and then keeps going. Maybe they all do this, I haven't played with older solly's too much. They are silver and red S900's.
Solly binders either go from 9-16 or 14-20. If you're turning the screw below 14, that means you're unscrewing the binding within the housing, and creating potential catastrophe with your bindings.... good luck......
Just to confuse... I have a set of 11-17 din all metal 997s. Green springs rule!
What BB said, if it's not on the scale, your just backing the screw out of the housing.
Ok, that's what I figured, backing out the adjuster is just removing the spring. Don't worry, I won't ski them like that.
