Yep, that's right folks. It's me...Student of the fucking year. I don't read for class today, so at 11:30, instead of actually trying to study for my noon class, I ditch...And go drink...Till 3, so that I can return to school and attempt to read for my 4 p.m. class. But I can't really see straight. And am sort of sleepy....It is only the 2nd week of class and I am already resorting to alcohol to pull me through this week. Shit shit shit....
why is it you're in school? I can't remember from that last thread you started, you know, all that complaining about how you hated school and being in class so much...
:D it's a good damn thing i've graduated, this reminds me of the times i hated class.
Hang in there my friend... the initial shock should wear off sometime in your thirties.
Just think of the King after a 2 ft. dump... and/or the fact that we have a three day weekend!!!!!

If you're starting to fall asleep just rack up.
It will balance out the alcohol and you will concentrate a lot better.

the bad news about financial aid? It comes due eventually. I did the same thing, got "extra" aid that I used to buy a lot of gear/passes, and then I gradiated.Quote:

However, due to my own negligence and a little bit of bad luck/fate, I didn't end up becoming an officer upon graduation like I thought I was going to, and got enlisted instead. So my pay's about 1/3 of what I thought it would be. And, as promised, the loans came due...Yeeeeowch.
Just be careful racking up the 'ol student credit card there :D

There is a HUGE difference between Financial Aid and Student Loans.
Financial aid is help paying for school, kind of like a scholarship, but you qualify for different reasons.
Student Loans come due, and you have to pay that money off.
I dated a girl back in college whos dad worked for the university so she got a discount on Tuition, something like $300/semester for a big 10 school. Shen then applied for financial aid, because her dad didn't make dick for a salary, She ended up making money going to school, it paid for her school, books, apartmrnt and extra cash for car, etc. I'm not advocating abusing financial aid, but if you can get a deal like that, why wouldn't you?
Oh and girlski, hang in there, I was student of the year by this time 3 years running.

Maybe not student of the year material, but here's my first night back at school....
7-10pm - drink multiple 40's, not sure where they came from, but free :cool:
10-1am- $8 all you can drink at the Market and Waterfront
-roommate and I decide that a fat girl with a bandana looks like a pirate. I decide to tell her and roommate adds she needs an eye patch
-someone told one of my old girl roommates that shes gained a bunch of wait, my response when she comes to me: "well, you have" (I feel sort of bad about this now)
1-2am - all you can drink done, go to different bar. While walking see someone attempt to hurdle a 3 ft fence, trip and fall face first onto the sidewalk. Procced to laugh at him while he's lying on the ground with a bloody nose
Not really that cool, but I'm out of practice.... I promise I'll get better as the semester progresses
Sounds like a good night! I remember having days... er nights like that a few years ago. The waterfront still have quarter taps? And do the fat chicks still try to pick up skinny guys at OB?
I drank beer for free last night with the lab guys down to whistle binkies. Not sure if they picked up the bill or the company, but it was a pretty good time.
