Any of you foos been to San Diego?

Heading to SD with Miss Punani for the long weekend. Where's some good spots for surf and nice places to stay? I've never been there.

Is Imperial Beach any good? I saw this joint online http://www.sandcastlevacation.com/

I think we went to Del Mar when I was there. Seemed like good waves - my friend who lives there is a big surfer and that's his local spot.

We also went to the Rusty factory which was quite cool.....

i've been to swami's/cardiff up in encinitas. it was tits.

I know you're back, SuPu. Sorry to hear you got skunked. I'm flying out w/the wife & kids to go camping in San Onofre State Beach (By the Big Titty Power Plant) next weekend - a large crew of friends & family descend on the Group Campsite there every year. Finally it's our turn to join in the fun. Any Beta on that area/Trestles?

I saw that big titted power plant and just lost it. Was trying to grab my digicam while driving, then almost rear-ended a 911, at which point I was promptly disciplined by Ms Punani. :D

There was a sick looking left that you could see on the freeway near Oceanside. It looked insane. Figured it would be bigger as you head south but no dice.

This was my first trip here and I'll definitely be heading back. So many different spots close to each other. Definitely wanna check Blacks on a solid winter swell....
