Tour de Putnam
Gravitylover and everyone else who helped put this fantastic ride together deserve all praise possible.
I strongly suggest anyone here in the tri-state area look into this event next year, I personally will be back for years to come.
Brief details of a tough day on the road:
100 hilly and at times very foggy miles.
6 hours 13min in the saddle
Hot as balls and HUMID.
Followed by lots of food and good people.
gravitylover is the first maggot I've met and if he's indicative of the rest of you guys (and girls), which I'm sure is the case, then I couldn't be happier to have stumbled into this place.
Thanks for a memorable day:cool:

Thank you for the kind words. We work hard to make that ride a success and responses like yours are becoming the norm so we must be doing something right. If anybody would like to come up out of the city my shop is located a half mile from the train station and there are some really nice road rides from there. The mountain biking is the real star in my town, over 25 miles of goodies. Everybody is welcome, and encouraged, to come play with us.
The next big ride in the NY metro area is in Orange County on Sept. 12th. Last year they had over 1500 riders and it too is very well supported. Right after that is the Golden Apple in Westchester county, also a very well supported ride. Next year I will be doing a road/mtn festival in mid October to take advantage of the foliage (and some cooler weather) so stay in touch.
Again, thank you for the confirmation that our efforts are appreciated.:)
