Yes, I am slacking. I've got a write up coming soon for Powstash's Feedthehabit.com and I'll post a link (and maybe a teaser photo or two).
WC- actually Whistler was the EASIER place to ride (not that it's easy at all- it still kicked my ass and I don't play with the gnar jumps,e tc..) but those North Shore trails on Seymour are just another step above, in comparison. We rode CBC @ Seymour with Jeremy Power, one of the dudes that built that trail. He is one sick mofo riding God!
Whistler is definately easier to ride, depending on what you ride there. Original Sin, Joyride, The Whistler Downhills, and crack addict are definately comparable to the shore toughness wise.Quote:

If you thought Seymour was on another level, try Grouse or Cypress. Cypress is the gnarliest stuff i have ever seen or tried to ride ever. And grouse is right in between the other two (location and terran wise:D )
Yeah, tell me about it. We rode back and forth between Original Sin and Joyride on my 'one' trip up Garbanzo (would have liked to have done more but I compressed and broke the seat/bolts off the bike). Not saying that Whistler doesn't have it's share- I definitely walked around a few obstacles there- but overall, my riding was much better compared to Seymour.
That stuff on Seymor was pretty nuts. I attached a teaser photo from our ride. Hoping to have the write up finished by the weekend (too tired right now, just finished another night on Tiger-damn that was a blast- WC, you need to come down to SEA one of these Tuesday nights for a Preston/Timber loop).

Another teaser of some wicked cool terrain at Seymour
After a couple of hours of downhill, we packed up the subie and off to Whistler. Stopped along the way to cool off at the Provincial Park off 99- were the only three people swimming in the Pacific. Just crystal clear blue water- cold, but tolerable.
After the quick rocky beach stop, decided to knock out Stawamus Chief Trail above Shannon Falls- overlooking Squamish. If you haven't had a chance to hike this popular trail- it's one of the best bangs for effort. Only about 5K roundtrip, but it also climbs about 2,000 vertical in 2.5K.

way to get after it.. sweet! i have to admit.. im not a mtber but after watching all this stoke here im thinking about giving it a try. better for my feet than skateboarding ;)
