gotama warranty

It seems as if most gotama owners have had problems with the sidewalls, and even a shop worker that I just spoke with said many have come in. But I got fucking denied by a local shop to send my skis back for warranty, which is pretty god damn lame if you ask me, because I told them I was going to unmount them, and they said sure bring em in. The asshole boss wouldn't send them back, but the worker there disagreed with him, since hes seen many very similar, but the boss got pissed at him for disagreeing. So now I am stuck with skis that either need to get back to volkl, or be remounted. I contacted volkl through their site, hopefully they will answer. Anyone else had problems similar to this :mad:

send them in yourself.
volkl will take care of you.

but volkls site says that you have to send them through one of their retailers :confused:

Tell that shop owner to go get fucked. That's complete BS. The word in the shops is that Volkl is taking care of all the Gotamas with cracked sidewalls.

Call Volkl: (800) 861-6054. Be sure to get an RA number from them if they let you send them direct.

Or take them to another shop. I bought mine from dude le's old shop, but my local shop in Tahoe sent them in for me (cracked sidewall) no questions asked.

Or ask for the local Volkl rep's number. He/she should take care of you too.

fkna, I called and they said I have to go to a shop, so off to south lake I go sometime soon, to hopefully not get bullshit, and will actually be able to send them back. :mad:
