Team Cascadia and my wallet finally threw down on a decent camcorder. I Found a hell of a good deal on a Sony HDR-FX1 today at Frys and I had to pull the trigger. Then I saw a nice laptop and compulsively bought that too for video editing. Hopefully 410 will open soon so the slutting can begin.:biggrin:

Unfortunately it didnt come with a lens hood, or a couple of other accessories that would have normally come with it. I bought it as an "opened box" discount but still get the regular warrantee. The cheapest I saw this camera online for was 2,000 + for a refurbished one from the sony store and they were out of stock. I picked mine up for $1,250 so I dont feel too bad about having to buy a couple of add ons.
I almost got a mac for editing but the only one I could afford only had a 13 in screen, and my fingers always feel cramped on the tiny keyboards they have.
I just sold my FX1 with a lens hood for $400...............;)
