BMX Video Stoke
Just found some recent footage of a guy I used to work with in a bike shop back in college. Pretty cool stuff, especially since the dude's now like 33 or 35 or something.
Though kinda sad that he was doing similar, and sometimes sicker stuff on a 24-inch frame and bars of his own design back in 1995, and didn't really make anything of it. He was such a talented, creative rider, and had really good design ideas, just not much business sense. Guess he was more stoked to ride.
Video One
Video Two
Videos are a bit thugged out in parts, which is funny.
Edit: Apparently one of both of these won something in the Aspire series of videos. Word.

that guy has some sicko street skills, all the switch landings and no handed landings are pretty freaky. I don't get the gun stuff though.
thanks for those vids, good stuff fo' sho'

"Lynn! Call Nine One One. There's a bunch of rednecks on the roof with bicycles and video cameras again!"
:D
Levy's facking good. The bar-spin-flourish/claim thing is a bit flowery though.
Does he still ride?
-
Wow, that is some crazy shit. I wish I had half the talent of that guy. I can barely ride backwards let alone do a roof jump, land it backwards, coast it outr and maybe throw in a barspin while I am at it.
Super impressed.

lots of fun to watch.
He looks like the street version of Tanner Hall.
-
that guy is sick....i only watched the first what but damn. bar spin mania. id be interestd to see him on a mtb.
-
i never saw that dude not on a bike.
he's weird.
where;s billy rohan's part?
-
Holy bejeebus. I do not even want to think about how you learn to do no-handed landings.
-
the bar spin claim thing is kind of ghey, but I'd claim that shite too. No need for the gunplay, but my jaw droped at his switch/fakie gap work. got any more footie???
-
damn, that's some serious shit. He should have called that vid "Mass Trespass"

Re: BMX Video Stoke
phUnk, this is recent footage (I think). Definetly not old stuff, so yeah, he still rides.
Hev, it used to be mind-boggling to watch him ride. He was just explosive and spontaneous, hitting everything. Footplants to wall ride on a window, immediately nose-manualing a planter on the other side of the sidewalk.
He was ahead of his time AFAICT. I've got footy of him in '96 doing no-footers to no-hander landing on dirt jumps with the seat like 4 feet high, wearing a fat-striped polo shirt and acid-washed jeans.
Judging by this footy he's gotten way smoother, and is still pretty nutty.
I think the fakie gunplay is pretty dope in its cheesyness, but my fave is by far the half cab bunnyhop up the wall.
