How does the terrain actually feels /looks there right now.
Site says 59 inches ......Rocks out everywhere?. Hard and icy?
Possible to hike any glaciers and ski in knee deep at least yet?
Beers on me in a few weeks.

59 inches?! Try 55cm, quite a difference :frown:
That's what the site says. 59 inches...
59 is the season total snow fall. The base is 18.
had a light dusting recently, still nowhere near decent coverage though.
you can hike peak chair and get some goods in whistler bowl. otherwise its just hiking for excercise and skiing the steepest hardpack you can find. Pakalolo has been fun. (hardpacked and lots of rock to dodge) The couloir has been the best. summer snowpack and alot blows in every night over chainsaw ridge, so your guaranteed a couple cms. I think Kye skied 5-0 the other day, it was looking pretty good from the botton yesterday
pretty sick today. blackcomb glacier has the goods. and yah, sudan + chainsaw were DEEP today. but still rock ski season. haven't hiked into whistler bowl yet save for a disastrous day down the Saddle dodging bomb debris.
Xmas holidays are over & all the tourists have gone home. And we finally get the major dump we've been waiting for. 34cm of pure bliss overnight! It didnt take long for things to get tracked out, a lot of the off piste & the high alpine are still off limits. Harmony & Peak & Symphony are still not open. But a couple more storms like this & we should in full swing.
I was glad to finally ditch the rock skis & dig out the powder boards. Hard to believe I'm been skiing on my rock skis for over a month now!
