Any suggestions for tonight's supper? I'm thinking Chicken Schnitzel w/glazed Cippolini Onions and some garlic-tossed green beans.
(Got the All-Clad copper core Pans for a steal yesterday and I'm dying to take them for a spin!)

Hmmmm. So.... I guess I'm a little out of the loop. There does not seem to be a touch screen... or a black box with a lid. I am teh suxor when it comes to cooking. Shiny stuff, though.
You will love the La Creuset sitting on the top there. I have a couple of the same color and they are my favorite of all my pots and pans. I cant even imagine how nice they would work on a good stovetop like that. My stovetop sucks and they still save my ass by keeping a nice even temperature. BTW my vote on first meal out.... take it nice and easy while figuring out your heat. How bout some chicken/veal piccata over a nice bed of garlic spinach. Ummmmm :D

LB: Thermidor is the best deal going right now in the high-end ranges (Viking/Therm/Wolf.) If you have an in with someone who is a licensed contractor you can get some incredible deals if they order it for you from a trades dealer.
I got the pans from some kid on Craig's List - still in the box & sealed, for $450 for the 7 piece set. I'm still stunned that the moron didn't even check the web for comps.

an observation based on my tendency to move every 3-5 years.
Trying to get the value out of that stove could be a bit tough. Trying to sell the home but take the stove with you could work I guess.
I also like to remodel shit - so maybe he does have a major remodel going - if so it would be cool to see pics & ideas. Maybe get a thread going so we could watch the progress.
(ice - I read the part about moving a wall. One wall does not a remodel make)

3. You have no idea what the rest of the house looks like, nor what appliances are expected in my hood... but again that's not why I bought it..
Would it help if I told you that the kitchen and basement are the last phases of a remodel that will, when finished, have doubled the value of our home?

A 'galley style' kitchen...I'll bet that keeps ya thinkin a couple steps ahead :) I can only imagine the flurry of activity after all the prep is done and the pans get hot!
My vote is for prosciutto wrapped veal chops over a wild mushroom risotto, with them there garlic tossed green beans...and a Malbec. :D
