I have an animated .gif I'd like to use as an avatar. I got it from a buddy in an email. How can I use this as an avatar?? If I copy/paste or save it to desktop or whatever, the animation doesn't work and it's a still image. I can't upload it to TGR because it's not saved on my pc and I don't know the source...ideas?
i'm just posting here to rub my moving avatar in your face.
Made it myself. Save the email attachment to a file then open it.

That was actually one of my first thoughts "sure I can use an animated gif....basom has one."
Technically the avatar is not moving, the little monsters are moving.
Just thought I'd clear that up.

it doesn't give me the option to upload from an email and if I save it to desktop it stops being animanated.Quote:

Try one of the Family Guy sights. I think they already have that avitar up and ready to be used. Which site I have no idea, do the little searchy thing.
Email it to me and I will re-size it for you in Imageready. Then it should work.

He's also right about "just trying it." Just experiment with it.
The gif is still animated, but not all image viewing applications can display the animation in animated gifs (they'll just show the first frame.)

If anyone ever wants an animated one sized though you can just PM me. I have Imageready and can size those easily.

thought so. I 'tried to use it but it was too big so when I reduced in size lost the movement. So mine is the same sans movement.
Oh wait...Doug's is not moving. Vinz, what's your email addy and I will send you the moving Gif.
Edit: Doh! Never mind Vinz...that one will work (it's 98x100)
